M/V SEA BEACH
M/V Sea Beach struck a sand bank and before the vessel could be brought under control she rammed the dock to the Oktedi Copper Ore Dock sustaining serious damage particulary to the fore part of the vessel. The vessel was moved to Colombia where permanent repairs were carried out. Our team, on behalf of the owner, surveyed the damages and handled the claim. In addition we produce the repair specifications and supervised the repairs of the ship.

M/V MARYLOU
The vessel sustained damage due to a sudden overheating of her main engine shortly before arrival to Cartagena. P&P Marine Consultants' team was sent on the vessel to inspect and commence repairs. The main engine was disassembled and more damages were found. Various Cylinder Heads, Cylinder Liners, Pistons Crown were just some of the damaged parts. After 79 days of repair period the vessel sailed from Cartagena. The damage was the result of crew negligence during routine maintenance repairs a month before the incident. P&P Marine Consultants as owner's representative handled the claim to policies of insurance on Hull and Machinery with success.

M/V ATLANTIC IV
While on a passage the vessel sustained major damage to her main engine. The main engine stopped and the vessel drifted "not under command". After towing the vessel to a port of refuge, the inspections revealed the extension of the damages.
Our team was sent on board of the vessel to handle the repairs. The main engine was stripped down. At the same time the cargo was in danger to be compromised. It was decided to be towed to the discharging ports. During the voyage the spares part for the main engine were sent to the vessel and our team proceeded on the repairs while the vessel was discharging. Permanent repairs to the main engine were completed by our mobile team and the vessel continued trading.
P&P Marine Consultants also handled the claim on behalf of the owner with success.

M/V SEA DREAM
While her voyage, fire broke out in the engine room on the port side forward on a level above the main engine cylinder heads. After the main engine stopped, the emergency fire pump diesel engine started but failed to gain suction to pump any water. The fire spread on the accommodation block and thick smoke had filled the engine room. While she was burning, the Master started arrangements for abandonment. The first inspection took place after the fire subsided. The vessel was found both a Constructive and a Commercial Total Loss. P&P Marine as owner's representative, handled the claim and a Total Loss Settlement was effected by the Underwriters.
M/V SUNRISE ALPHA
Whilst M/V SUNRISE ALPHA was at the Port of Rio Haina, Dominican Republic, fire broke out in the engine room causing serious damage. Following a survey to determine the extent of the damage and the bidding procedure from yards on the repair specifications, the vessel was declared a Constructive Total Loss and Notice of Abandonment was tendered. The abandonment was not accepted by the underwriters and a claim for a Constructive Total Loss was submitted. P&P Marine Consultants acted as the owner's representative through out the process.
